PART TIME HYROX COACH

CHALK is seeking a part-time coach to assist with coaching Hyrox classes.
​
RESPONSIBILITIES
​​​
-
Assist at the CHALK reception prior to classes, which includes tasks such as gym set-up, member check-in, account management, maintaining cleanliness, and restocking products.

Actively participate in and coach group classes at CHALK, particularly Hyrox-style workouts.

Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard, following a scheduled rotation.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team.​

QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES
​

At least 1 year of coaching experience.

Level 2 in Gym Instructing and/or CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification, or similar Strength and Conditioning certification.

Good knowledge of Hyrox movements.
-
High energy and a can-do attitude, with the ability to anticipate needs.

Strong interpersonal skills with the natural ability to build relationships with the team and clients.

Demonstrates solid verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to maintain high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

EMPLOYMENT AND BENEFITS

2-4 hours per week, with opportunities for expansion into other areas of the business.

Part-time coaches operate as contractors, i.e. self employed. They must have their own Public Liability insurance and we require proof of Public Liability.

FULL TIME COACH
Full time coaches drive the overall development of the customer experience by coaching classes and responsible for organising Chalk community events, building and maintaining customer service content, and will work closely with the Gym Manager to drive improvements in critical areas of opportunity.
​

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work the Chalk reception before classes, which includes, but is not limited to; helping with gym set-up, member check-in, account management, and general gym cleanliness and product replenishment.

Building and executing communication and training content for events or initiatives.

Assist with the overall growth, development and promotion of the gym through sales, active retention, and events.

Actively participate and coach Group Classes at Chalk support the growth and development of Chalk Online.

Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the owner's ability to effectively lead the organisation, including but not limited to; assisting with special projects, scheduling meetings, events and training workshops, and other duties as assigned.

Maintain equipment to the highest standard on a scheduled rotation.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES

At least 1 year of coaching experience.

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification, Level 2 in Gym Instructing, or similar Strength and Conditioning certification.

Good knowledge of CrossFit movements, terminology and brand

High energy and a can-do attitude, with the ability to anticipate needs.

Self-starter who is able to take initiative to drive results with minimal or no guidance.

Strong interpersonal skills with the natural ability to build relationships with the team and clients.

Exceptional organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail. Demonstrates solid verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

EMPLOYMENT AND BENEFITS
​
Up to 38 hours per week with a starting salary of £26,000 - £29,000.
Full-time coaches typically work 5 days per week and rarely, if ever, work split shifts — we pride ourselves on providing healthy work-life balance for full-time coaches with a clear progression plan. Within the average work week, full-time coaches will deliver 16 group fitness classes. The remaining hours are allocated to a broad variety of administrative tasks, gym maintenance and coaching development.
